A blast from the WAY past

Keith Green was one of the most popular contemporary Christian musicians in the late ‘70s/early ‘80s. He and 10 others (including two of his children) tragically died in a plane crash in 1982.

I had the privilege of interviewing him for a music magazine. He was truly a musical prophet, a musical genius with a rough edge and sharp words. Here’s an example.

I only bring this up because a friend pointed me to this video below, circa 1965 from the TV game show “I’ve Got a Secret” with, who else, an 11-year-old Keith Green, who was just signed to a 5-year recording deal as a “rock-and-roll” singer. Pretty fun stuff and a fun performance by the aspiring teen star.

Check out the Wikipedia entry on Green for a great summary of his life and ministry…
