While we’re not talking about them in this post, whenever I hear powerful Christian I think about these guys:

Honestly, I think the concept is totally silly and oddly intriguing. They’ve had a fantastic ministry that’s still kicking (literally) after 25 years.

Anyway, Beliefnet has just named the most powerful Christians in Hollywood. There are, of course, some very valid questions that arise from this list. Questions like, “So what?” But let’s assume the list is valid and worthwhile for a minute or two.

What I find most interesting from the blurbs on the actors and actresses are these quotations:

Ralph Winter, “I have been placed in this job for a purpose, and I am just trying to make great movies and keep my eyes on Him. I don’t deserve any praise….It is definitely all God’s hand that I get to do this. And who knows how long this will last? He may choose someone else.”

Angela Bassett, “When you realize that every breath is a gift from God. When you realize how small you are, but how much he loved you. That he, Jesus, would die, the son of God himself on earth, then you…you just weep.”

Kind of inspiring actually. And also kind of ironic given the title of the piece. You have these people that have the title of powerful bestowed upon them turn around and give full credit to Jesus.
