Thanks to my brother for this trip down memory lane…
Anybody else remember how spectacular this show was? Watching the intro immediately brought back all sorts of memories—mainly of betamax, which just made my day.
Are there any other shows you remember from your youth that have impacted your faith?

I had no faith in anything then. My life was inspired by He-Man, Voltron, Thunder Cats, Transformers, My Little Pony, & GI Joe.
I’ve actually never heard of “Superbook.”

I remember being encouraged in the dark times of my youth by the theistic over tone in Marshall Bravestar.
...
But seriously, Hanibarbara had a show like Adventures in the Bible, where two white teens that their mystery-ethnic friend when through this awesome door that took them to different times in the Bible.
And the trump card of all Christian media, to which I sincerely do own my early faith development: Adventures in Odyssey. Back when kids still had enough imagination left to listen to story tapes, this offered all you could ask for in story, character, emotional validity, and spiritual content.

Mr. Rogers! His gentle way of accepting and loving all people has had a profound impact on me as a Christian today. Of course, being a Presbyterian, he’s a hero to me as an ordained Presbyterian minister who chose children’s television as his ministry! Jesus was asked “who is my neighbor?” and he answered with the parable of the Good Samaritan. Mr. Rogers “preached” a variation of that, by asking all of us “won’t you be my neighbor?”, and modeling what being a good neighbor means.

I remember superbook, anyone remember patch the pirate or the donut man? The care bears (the classic ones that is) had good moral lessons.
