Well worth watching. The message of this speech is timeless:
How have you been remembering MLK today?

It’s nice to see that his life and legacy is being remembered and respected. Most holidays are so commercial now. It’s amazing how much he accomplished during those hard times and he was very enlightened in his study of Ghandi and nonviolent means of changing the world. I’m linking my Martin Luther King tribute back to this post.

I’m wondering what Dr. King would have spoken for (or against) if he were to give this speech in a modern day context. Now that a black man can vote in Mississippi and a black man in New York has something to vote for, what are the next big steps that need to be taken to bring true equality in the human race?

Today was just an ordinary day for some. Lots of businesses were open and not much spoken of the Great Man who caused a positive legacy in my life. I witnessed, as a child, the strong movement of civil rights brought about by Dr. King. His empowerment for social justice and peace was given to us like the Armor of God. To celebrate this day is truly an honor. I pray that others will remember what he did for us.
