Not only is he redefining extreme walking, but he’s redefining inspiring:
As it happened, I was looking at a world atlas one night and as I looked at the world I had a rather innocent thought, “I could walk around the world and invite people to pray for unity.
And he’s actually doing it! He’s about a year in, you can follow his itinerary here:

This is all coming out of his ministry called Pray4One:
Sam’s pilgrimage around the world is a means to one end: to mobilise a prayer army. An army with one thing on their heart – the unity of Christians everywhere. If there is faith enough to move mountains, is it possible that we have faith enough to bring us all together? Pray4One is definitely one way that we can be involved. There is no agenda, hidden motive or preconceived idea of what unity will look like. All we know is that God’s people are divided. Pray4One is an organised way for us to come together and pray for the unity of all Christian people.
His blog is a wonder to behold. There are pictures from where he’s been so far as well as some crazy stories: Sam’s Blog. Highly worth taking a look at.
One of my roommates used to talk about how certain songs/movies/activities made him want to go out and “Do something awesome.” I think I’d have to use that statement when I read about Sam.
Am I alone in that sentiment? Is it just a gimmick that actually won’t bring about any change or do you think he’s onto something? Any other thoughts on this?

This Humbles and Inspires me. It excited me to think of the idea of christians uniting in prayer for this world. I will pray for Sam and I pray that people that hear his story are inspired to do somthing for Christ.
God bless,
Anthony

This reminds me of Forrest Gump, when he decided to run across the United States.
