A Tame Talk with Reverend Billy

Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping were recently highlighted in a film by Morgan Spurlock (director and star of Super Size Me). I’ve known about the Reverend for a few years and was very intrigued by this movie, but since it’s release has been quite limited it might be a while until that happens.

Reverend Billy’s shtick is a twisted amalgamation of evangelical rhetoric and humor.

    It was comforting and unnerving, having been seared to my soul with the revelation of this consumerism ideology, and having just returned from a very fun family weekend at Disneyland. Two feet, two worlds, one me.
