The Way We Say the Things We Say

Stumbled across an interesting juxtaposition of vernacular on the creation vs. evolution debate this morning called Duelity. The site has an animated retelling of the origin of man from the two viewpoints. The creationist viewpoint is told using the imagery and language of science and the evolutionist viewpoint using the imagery and language of story-telling.

The general idea seems to be about how the words we use to present our ideas, which is interesting to me, but I get excited when I can use words like ‘juxtaposition’ and ‘vernacular’ in the same sentence.

Any thoughts on the movies? Have you ever caught yourself saying something in Christianese that makes you think, “What does that mean?”
