Top five books on popular culture?

Posted November 26th @ 5:54 pm by Andy Print This Post

Dick Staub (who, among other things, hosts the excellent Kindlings Muse podcast) has listed his picks for the top five books on pop culture.

How many of them have you read, and what additions would you make to the list? If somebody asked you to recommend five books that really explain how our culture works, what would your list look like?

update: I guess I’d forgotten that November/December is the time of year when everybody puts together their “best of the year” book reading lists. The Revealer has a different but very interesting list of worthy reads that came out in 2007. They cover topics from atheism to blasphemous art. Sounds fun….
