Some worthy, if rather scattered, links for your weekend enjoyment:
- 700 years after being disbanded by the Church, the Knights Templar are finally being vindicated by a Vatican study that pronounces them “not guilty” of heresy. Does this mean an end to poorly-written conspiracy novels portraying them as the guardians of the Holy Grail, the bloodline of Jesus and Mary Magdalene, and the Illuminati? I’m not holding my breath.
- One year after Fox started up its “Fox Faith” brand to produce Christian-friendly movies, Mark Moring asks “Is Fox Faith working?” (Hat tip: Looking Closer.)
- What are the risks facing evangelicals today? A lengthy and thorough summary of Tim Keller’s address at the Evangelical Ministry Assembly in London. (Via The Marshian Chronicles.)
- Are Christians contributing to unbelief? “Is it possible that the Church is pushing people toward unbelief by virtue of its approach to culture and the world?” Tough but important questions.
- Along the same lines: more on Christianity’s image problem at Time Magazine. See also David’s post on this topic earlier this month.
See y’all on Monday!
