Posting may be fairly light this week, as I’m spending the rest of the week attending the Internet Ministry Conference. In fact, I’ll be blogging from the conference as it takes place at the conference blog, if you want to follow along. (Any TC readers happen to be at the conference? If so, stop by and say hi—I’ll be roaming the conference halls with a camera and a powerbook.) At the opening dinner/plenary session tonight, attendance was great, and if Rex Miller’s presentation on communication in the digital age is any indication, it’s going to be a very thought-provoking week.
I’ll try to stop back here a few times this week to share what I’ve been learning.

I was going to attend this to help out with my Christian online ministry (ChristianForce.NET)...but then I read that it was something like $300 a day and didn’t include board…seems a bit overkill for a conference meant to help us more effectively share the Gospel online. How many Christian ministries can afford $900 for a weekend conference? $900 is a lot of money…

A camera and a powerbook? That description matches 80% of the people here!
But seriously: I’m at the conference, too, as is Jim Watkins, another TC author. What a great time!

Matthew: I think those numbers are a bit off—as far as I know, the cost is closer to one-third or half of that figure. At any rate, it may or may not be cost effective for you, but if you’ve attended other conferences of this sort, that’s a pretty competitive price for 3-4 days of training and workshops. Conferences like this aren’t cheap to host and coordinate!
