USA Today reports on a study about why people switch churches. I don’t think the findings will surprise too many of you, but it’s interesting reading. The researchers describe a “restlessness” among churchgoers today, and a lessening of a sense of “church loyalty.” (Hat tip: Thunderstruck.)

I switched because they show favor if you had money, but for those that did not were nobody to them; God said come as you are but half of them were fashion shows. I felt that the focus was not on the Lord but on each other and a whole bunch of gossip, and I need to be where I could grow strongly in Christ. Now i feel like I’m getting the meat that God so wanted me to have.

I switched for a number of reasons, but the major one for me was the teaching was good, but the fellowshipping only occurred among a small clique at chuch. Impossible to glorify Jesus that way…

I switched because the church was void of real fellowshipping. Good teaching, but the fellowshipping was practically non-existant.
