The creation/evolution debate, taking place on bumper stickers around the world

Darwin FishI’m sure you’ve all seen the “Jesus fish” magnet or sticker on car bumpers. And the Darwin fish. And the Jesus fish eating the Darwin fish, and a million other variants. Matthew Bettelheim has a fun piece in Inkling Magazine describing the state of the creation/evolution bumper sticker wars.

My favorite has ALWAYS been the Truth fish. Anything that says, “My god will EAT YOU for believing the wrong thing” is good enough for me! :-P

I don’t want to put Christian bumper stickers on my car. One day, I might unknowingly sell it to a reckless driver. Driving on the freeway, I’ve encountered speeding and unsafely weaving in and out of traffic drivers with the Jesus “fish” on their car’s bumper. I’ve jokingly told my kids many times, “look at how foolish that Christian guy drives.”
