The Think Christian authors recently celebrated our 1,000th post since launching TC in 2005, and—more importantly, your 10,000th comment. While those are nice numbers and all, we’re more impressed with what those numbers represent: a sustained, thoughtful discussion about being a Christian in today’s world. The high-level of discourse you, our readers, bring to the table is incredible. True, we moderate comments, but it’s amazing how low the signal-to-noise ratio actually is. It’s mostly just those radical Southern Baptists we need to watch out for.
Ahem… That was a joke. Really.
But seriously, we’ve truly value your comments. In many cases they’re more insightful and interesting than our original posts. In fact, we like your comments so much, we put together a little web site with tips on writing solid comments, using yours as inspiration.
The result is GoodComment.com. And, since you helped create it, we’d love to get your feedback. Does it cover the bases? Is there more advice we should offer? Feel free to, ah, leave a comment and let us know.

It’s good. I like your “only say the things that you would appreciate hearing from others” approach. However, sometimes the best comments are said with a ‘matter of fact’ level-headed constructive criticism angle, and it’s too bad if someone gets offended. Cos’ after all Christ was offensive.
You are your own best critic in this case. Only do to others what you want them to do to you… etc.
I might have to use this site on my blog… saves me having to write up a rules list. hehe.

Well done! I’ve written a swedish translation at my blog, and I’ve added that if the author of the post is asking for the readers opinions on something, or in any other way wants to know how many of the readers that has the same opinion, then theres nothing wrong with writing “Me too!” to show that you agree with a previous author. (I hope my english is understandable :p )
