Excerpts from Intruder Tries To Exorcise Devil From Actor:
An Oregon man has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery and entering private property without permission after bursting into the Malibu backyard of “Days of Our Lives” star Drake Hogestyn.Hogestyn, who plays John Black on the popular soap opera, said he was on a ladder on New Year’s Eve when Cheney ran at his daughter screaming, “Where is he? I will cast him out.” Court documents said Cheney was clutching a a bible and was trying to exorcise the devil from the actor. He was recalling an episode of the soap about demonic possession, the documents state, adding that the intruder also grabbed Hogestyn’s wife and pushed her backward.
“This sick person Carl Raymond Cheney believed that Satan was in me and that he was the Christ,” Hogestyn wrote.

Hah! What a bunch of noobs!
Some people just can’t separate TV from reality. In the 80’s I worked at a grocery store. Many people waiting in line would look at the tabloids and confuse the actor (Joan Collins) with the character she played on TV and say asinine things like “Oooo look, Joan Collins is divorcing whats-his-name on Dynasty!”
Oy vey!

Whoa!!! While the unsaved world might view it as another christian “fanatic” the truth is that there are mentally ill people who go to such extremes when they are not on their meds. I work in that field and we recently had someone who professes to love Jesus throw brownies at a pastor and shout obscenities at him. Keep in mind that this same person shares the Gospel where ever they go even though it is distorted somewhat.
If that actor isn’t saved, this just might have given him a really bad taste.
Oh, me!! Makes you wonder – doesn’t it?
Have a blessed day!!

A crazy world we live in. Literally.
Crazy people tend to be religious, after all.
I doubt the dude blamed this guy’s behavior on Christianity.
It’s funny anyway. I hope the actor’s family will laugh about it—one of those stories you tell the rest of your life.

well, that was very dark period during the “Days of our Lives- Marlena is possessed by the Devil!” episodes. I could see wanting to exorcise the demon of Bad Writing out of the writers of the show, but actors are just acting!
Weird.
