The wild world of theology on the web

At Catalyst magazine, Fred Sanders has some useful thoughts on finding theology resources on the internet—including, of course, quite a few links.

In the course of pointing out the best resources, he observes that the web has done wonders for making classic theological texts and other artifacts of the print era available to internet-using readers around the world (want to read the Summa Theologica in its entirety? You’re in luck). But to date the internet has not spawned any widely-recognized new theological work. That said, several of the online theological journals he references look promising.

i think there will be a rise of “new” theology coming in the the near future on the internet. the shift that is taking place in history and in generations will move this along.

as we move a way from such a strong systematic theology to a new one, i think the internet will be the publishing house for new theologians
