In a lot of ways I’m glad to see another positive result of moving into a post-denominational age. I no longer call myself ‘christian’ as much as I am a believer, which I do call myself. (very much the difference between what you say you are,and what you do) In the past year, I have come out with that mindset(of being a believer), and was able to hurdle over things that I could not have done myself -like going to men’s prayer breakfast that is not just in a different city, but at a church of a different race (which is something else I no longer see) I have learned to pay attention to details in the secular world that point to the Creator of all nature and His son, and point those out when I can. I am no longer someone who wears a suit to church (tho’ sometimes I do) with the notion in mind of the question “Do I want the Father of all Creation to see me in my ‘sunday best’, or, just as I am?” I have learned to pray around other men and have it to be personal, to thank Him in everything I do, from the first breath in the morning to when I turn out the light at bedtime. And the biggest lesson this past year, the lesson involved in taking one day at a time. I haven’t got it figured out yet; I’m still learning as I go, and one day I hope to have things down. Thanks -Roy
