“But ultimately, we have some words of warning from Mayor Khan:
Khan says even before he was a multimillionaire mayor, he didn’t think much of welfare. But now that he’s loaded, he says he’s realized two things about money: that everyone’s greedy for it, and that it can’t always fix everything.”
Most of us have dreamed of what great good for the kingdom we could do with unlimited funds – but heeding the words of the taxi cab driver turned rich mayor – money can’t fix everything. But my heart says – I’d SURE like to prove that for myself! (that is an attempt at humor dear friends – not a denial of the reality of the limitations of money) We are blessed beyond belief in our lives – it would be SO much fun to go do headline grabbing “good works” in the Lord’s name (being anonymous ourselves of course – that’s what would make it FUN!). Ahh – you’ve set me to daydreaming – and there is work to do right here with no money at all!
Bless all the generous millionaires – even if a good deed is not done in Jesus name – we don’t know how His plan is working out in our world. Cheer for the good and pray against the evil.
