Pew survey finds: lots of people blog

A new Pew study about bloggers came out this week. A few highlights:

  • The blogging world is roughly evenly split between male and female bloggers.
  • “my life and experiences” are what most bloggers say they like to write about; politics takes a very distant second, followed by “niche” topics like religion and sports (<10% each).
  • 8% of online adults blog; 39% of online adults read blogs.

Much good commentary about the results and what they mean over at Mystery Pollster.
